THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued an Adverse Weather Alert Yellow Level due to an active Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ),
In an update on Tuesday morning, the TTMS said the alert has been issued from 11.27 am Tuesday and ends on Wednesday at 6pm.
The MET Office stated “Due to an active Inter-Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), there is a high (70%) chance of occasional heavy showers and/or thunderstorms with the threat of gusty winds in excess of 55km/hr. Street/flash flooding and localized ponding are likely in heavy downpours.”
Members of the public are asked to monitor weather conditions from official sources via www.metoffice.gov.tt and www.odpm.gov.tt.
