AN 18-year-old man is in police custody following the beating death of an 83-year-old woman in Charlieville on Sunday.
Neighbours heard the screams of Polly Kunti Bahadoor and when they went to her home on Pierre Road, they found the wheelchair-bound pensioner bludgeoned to death.
Police held a relative who was hiding in the garage saying, “Mama dead.”
Residents said he looked to be high on drugs.
