THE body of former editor-in-chief at the Newsday newspaper Suzanne Mills has been discovered at her home.
Reports are that police were contacted by persons who said a smell was emanating from her house.
Around 11.40 pm on Sunday, police arrived at Mills’ home at Aquamarine Drive, Diamond Vale, Diego Martin.
They contacted the Fire Service and broke down the door to Mills’ apartment.
Her body was found in a bedroom at 11.58 pm.
Police say that no foul play was suspected.
Her body was removed from her house and will be taken to the Forensic Science Centre for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Mills, 59, was the daughter of Newsday’s founding editor-in-chief, the late Therese Mills.
In 2019, Mills was reported missing after leaving her home to go to the supermarket. She was eventually found in Port-of-Spain by the person who reported her missing.
