A POLICE OFFICER was killed on Monday morning in Penal.
Police reports are that PC Zaid Mohammed was just shot to death at Katwaroo Trace around 10 am.
Police intercepted a vehicle and two persons are in custody.
A firearm was also recovered.
They were held by Southern Division Police in a car at Suchit Trace, Debe, minutes after the killing outside The Meat Block. Both suspects are from Princes Town.
The intercepted vehicle had a false license plate “PDX” still attached to the original plates.
One of the suspects is a relative of a high-ranking policeman.
