CLASSES have resumed at the Penal Presbyterian preschool which was broken into and ransacked on Tuesday.
General Secretary of the Presbyterian Church of Trinidad and Tobago (PCTT) Terrence Warde told AZP News that operations were fully normalised by Wednesday morning.
He also emphasised that the break-in was done in the wee hours of Tuesday perhaps sometime between 2 am and 4 am and there was no harm to anyone.
Both the school and the Penal Presbyterian Church, which both occupy the compound, were ransacked with nothing stolen, Warde said.
The burglar proofing of the church was cut as well as the wire fence of the school.
Warde said it is believed that someone may have been searching for money but did not find any.
He also commended the police for their job.
“The police were quite prompt. They came in time. They did what was necessary in terms of fingerprinting and questioning and so on. They are continuing their investigations,” Warde said.
Both buildings were also covered with insurance, he added.
Warde said the school board will also be holding a meeting on Wednesday to further discuss the issue.
