FOUR Caribbean countries are under Tropical Storm Watch Bret.
Trinidad and Tobago is not one of them.
In a fifth update by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) at 6.35 am on Wednesday, the TTMS listed Barbados, Dominica, Martinique and St Lucia as the countries under the storm watch.
While Trinidad and Tobago may not be gravely affected, the TTMS continues to monitor the storm that was located about 1040 km east of the Windward Islands at 5 am on Wednesday.
TTMS stated, “Conditions are possible within the watch area, generally within 48 hours. Interests elsewhere in the Lesser Antilles should also monitor the progress of Bret as Tropical Storm Watches will likely be issued by other islands later today.”
Bret is expected to reach the Lesser Antilles by Thursday.
The system continues to move west near 26km/hr.
