MINISTER of Finance Colm Imbert, MP, announced that the government has increased the wage offer for university staff by 6 %.
In a release on Thursday, Imbert said the proposed increase is 6%, which will result in an additional $23 million per year in recurrent costs for UWI and a backpay of $165 million.
The government has agreed to cover these costs on behalf of UWI, he said.
