THE Ministry of Homeland Security has advised that the Migrant Registration Framework (MRF) is currently in its second phase, with 2,707 applications already processed and a further 13,502 appointments scheduled.
In a release, the Ministry noted that Phase 1, which consisted of the online application process, concluded on February 25, 2026, and received 29,276 applications.
It stated that the booking and confirmation of appointments remain ongoing as Phase 2 of the MRF continues.
The Ministry said that, to date, 2,707 applications have been processed and 13,502 appointments have been scheduled based on the availability of venues.
It noted that all remaining interviews are expected to be scheduled during the months of April and May.
As Phase 2 continues to roll out, the Ministry reminded applicants of the following:
- Applicants should print all required documents prior to attending their appointment. Details of the required documents are outlined in the appointment confirmation email.
- Applicants are assigned to specific registration sites for operational reasons; therefore, requests to change the assigned site cannot be easily accommodated.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to arrive on time for their appointments, as officers at each site will already have the necessary details pertaining to their application.
- Persons who miss their scheduled interview will be rescheduled based on availability. However, applicants are advised that space is limited, and missing an appointment may result in delays.
The Ministry further reminded applicants that the exercise’s comprehensive review process includes both security and health screenings.
It stated that upon completion of Phase 2, Phase 3 will involve the payment process and issuance of the MRF card.
The Ministry stated: “The Ministry of Homeland Security thanks all applicants for their cooperation and encourages continued adherence to the guidelines outlined throughout the process.”
