ONE week after 100 people were temporarily detained aboard the Ocean Pelican vessel in Chaguaramas for breaching the public health regulations, police have again arrested over 60 persons aboard a yacht in Carenage early on Monday morning.
Reports are that members of the Western Division were doing surveillance on a vessel in the waters near Carenage at around 12.30 am, before intercepting it and ordering it to return to land.
Persons arrested included soldiers and sailors and up until midday on Monday, enquiries and interviews were still ongoing.
The yacht is docked at the coast guard base at Staubles Bay, Chaguaramas.
