An 18-year-old has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Vickram Ramlal, which occurred on January 6th, 2024.
Shane Benn, of Aranguez, was charged with the offence when he appeared before Master Shabiki Cazabon, on November 26, 2024.
The Sufficiency Hearing date was sent for December 4, 2025. Ramlal, 48, of Tunapuna, was shot and killed in the vicinity of a bar at Pasea Main Road, on January 6th, 2024.
One male suspect was arrested in connection with the incident on November 19, 2024.
Investigations were supervised by acting ASP Victor, W/Insp. Sylvester, acting Insp Simon and Insp. Mungroo, all of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI),
Region Two.
The accused was charged with the offence by WPC Melville, also of HBI Region Two, on November 25th, 2024, following advice received from Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC, on that same date.
