A man was fatally stabbed in the Chaguanas Market around 9.45 a.m. on Tuesday – Christmas Eve
Reports indicated that there was an argument between two men over money and Christopher Mendoza, 54, was stabbed.
He ran a short distance away and then fell to the ground after tripping on a box of a vendor.
Mendoza, also known as Gunta, died on the floor of the market.
The man who stabbed him escaped.
Vendors said their Christmas Eve sales were affected after police cordoned off parts of the market.
Police said Mendoza lived in Brasso.
