ROSEAU – Finance Minister Dr Irving McIntyre will on Friday present the EC$1.21 billion (One EC dollar=US$0.37 cents) national budget to Parliament, according to a statement issued by the Office of the Prime Minister.
Last year, McIntyre presented a fiscal package totalling EC$1.7 billion with the Roosevelt Skerrit government urging citizens to meet their tax commitments to the country.
“This budget outlines the government’s financial plans and priorities for the upcoming year, aiming to support the country’s development goals,” the statement added.
It said that in keeping with tradition, the opening of the new parliamentary session will be marked by an address from Dominica’s President, Sylvanie Burton, adding that her speech will set the tone for the session, emphasizing national priorities and government initiatives for the coming months.
