FIVE more patients have tested positive for Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
This was the latest update from the Ministry of Health on Saturday morning.
The additional cases were primary contacts of a recently positive Covid-19 patient and the ministry said all established protocols were implemented. This is case 142.
These new cases bring the total number of infections to 147.
Deaths remain at eight with 128 discharges.
Currently, six patients are warded at the Caura Hospital with five others on their way to the facility.
By the end of Saturday, Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh there will be 13 patients at the Caura Hospital.
He said no further lock down or restrictions of the economy was being contemplated at this time.
