THE Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) issues a Hazardous Sea Alert Yellow Level 1 effective from 2 pm on Friday to Monday at 12 noon.
On Friday, the Met Office stated, “Relatively strong winds are expected to render sea conditions rough and choppy in open waters, particularly in eastern offshore areas.
“Wind waves are forecast to be in excess of 2.5 metres which can be especially hazardous to small crafts and offshore operations. Conditions at sea walls along exposed coastlines can be exacerbated at high tide.”
In addition, seafarers and those particularly with offshore marine interests are advised to exercise extreme caution.
