THE last batch of AstraZeneca vaccines from the COVAX facility has arrived in Trinidad and Tobago.
The 33,600 vaccines arrived at the Piarco International Airport at 6.06 am on Wednesday.
Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh was present to accept the vaccines.
This is third tranche of AstraZeneca vaccines provided to the country through the COVAX facility.
The first arrived on March 31 and the second arrived on May 10. The third was expected to arrive in July but was delayed.
Presently, the AstraZeneca vaccines that arrived from Canada last week are being distributed at the mass vaccination sites.
