PLANNED electrical works at the Caroni Water Treatment plant would be the reason why residents in North Trinidad in several areas will be affected by water supply on Tuesday.
The Water and Sewerage Authority in a press release issued stated that the interruption in water supply will take place between the hours of 1 pm and 5 pm.
WASA also stated that following the completion of these works, it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalise in some affected areas.
The electrical works are expected to take place at the High-Head Station at the facility.
Affected areas include:
- Port-of-Spain;
- St James;
- Woodbrook;
- Cocorite;
- Santa Cruz;
- Barataria
- Morvant;
- Laventille;
- Beetham Gardens;
- Gonzales; Belmont;
- Cascade;
- Piarco; Curepe;
- Champ Fleurs;
- Mt Dor Petit Bourg; Valsayn;
- South Bamboo;
- Mt Hope;
- Aranguez;
- El Socorro; and
- San Juan.
