The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has authorised Light Motor Vehicles only to utilise the Priority Bus Route (PBR) from Mt Hope to Orange Grove over this weekend.
It is opened:
Saturday November 15, 2025, between the hours of 5pm to 1 am.
Sunday November 16, 2025, between the hours of 9 am to 2 pm.
Contacted on the reason for the opening of the PBR, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Eli Zakour said, “There are activities along the Eastern Main Road, and we have opened the bus route to facilitate movement in the area.”
He said these activities included the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation (TPRC) marathon and parades.
