POLICE are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 56-year-old D’Abadie woman who was mauled to death by her Rottweiler.
Gaytrie Chanderpaul, of 10, Andrew Lane, died about one hour after she was attacked by the dog on Tuesday.
Police said she was about to give the dog a treat when she was suddenly attacked and bitten about her body.
She was rushed to the Arima Health Facility just after the attack at 6.45pm and died about one hour later.
Cpl Metivier is continuing investigations.
