A Riverine flood alert which was issued on Thursday into Friday has since been discontinued to a Green Level.
On Friday, the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) stated, “From reports received, the major watercourses have been contained and are presenting a slow downward trend. The anticipated impactful rainfall today did not materialize and thus, a gradual runoff is expected in areas inundated with floodwaters.”
The public is asked to continue to monitor weather conditions and river/water levels, plan safety measures and follow the TTMS via official channels for the latest updates.
