THE Education Ministry condemns the disruptions to primary schools in the southeastern district on Tuesday due to a threat sent by email.
Following safety protocols, students were removed to muster points and the police were notified and there were sweeps of the identified schools within that education, a release from the Ministry of Education stated.
The ministry stated that once schools were cleared for resumption of normal operations, principals will be notified and they will in turn inform parents.
It stated that based on the projections of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, most if not all affected schools should be able to resume operations on Wednesday.
The education ministry stated that it was working with the national security ministry and related law enforcement agencies, including Cybersecurity Incident Response Team to investigate the incident.
