HIGH-grade cannabis with an estimated street value of more than TT$102 million was seized during a coordinated anti-narcotics operation at Riverside Marina in Felicity on Friday afternoon, police said.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, officers of the Central Division carried out the exercise around 2 pm on February 20, 2026, involving the Central Division Gang Unit, the Criminal Investigations Department, Crime Scene Unit and the Task Force.
Police said officers, acting on intelligence, went to the marina on Cacandee Road where they noticed a white Kia K2700 parked “suspiciously” between two moored vessels. The vehicle’s tray was covered with a blue tarpaulin, which further raised suspicion.
A search of the tray led to the discovery of several multi-coloured crocus bags containing 937.66 kilogrammes of high-grade Colombian cannabis, police said. The drug was valued at TT$102,942,686.
One man was arrested in connection with the seizure.
The operation was spearheaded by Assistant Commissioner of Police Anthony Remy, coordinated by Senior Superintendent Rudolph Bhagwandeen and supervised by Assistant Superintendent Mark Hernandez.
