A DEFECTIVE pump at the Picton # 2 Booster Station, Picton Road, Laventille is the reason why there is a disruption in water supply in that area.
On Wednesday, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in a media release advised that emergency repair works were being conducted on a defective pump.
Repair works are expected to be completed on Wednesday.
The Authority thanked customers for their patience and understanding and stated that it will advise on service restoration in a subsequent release.
Areas affected include: Upper Belmont and environs, Mendez Drive, Layan Hill, areas served by the Gonzales Booster Station, Beverly Hills and environs, St. Paul Street and environs, Hermitage Road and environs, Lower Laventille Road and environs, Bowen Trace, Upper St Barbs Road, Upper Chinatown, Upper Francios Valley Road, Upper Laventille, Soogrim Trace, Fatima Trace, Block 22.
