AN electrical problem is now being blamed for residents in northwest Trinidad not having a steady supply of water.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) in a media release on Monday stated that there was an electrical problem at the Tucker Valley Pumping Station.

Emergency repairs currently underway are expected to be completed by 6 pm on Tuesday.
WASA stated that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalise to some affected areas following completion of these repairs.
A limited truck-borne service will be available upon request.

Areas affected are along Western Main Road from Teteron Barracks, Chaguaramas, to La Horquette Valley Road, Glencoe, including: Abbe Poujade Street, Haig Street, School Street, L’Anse Mitan, Big Yard, Amowsville, Sanora Park, Shorelands, La Horquette Branch Road, The Park, Gulf View Drive and Glencoe.
