The deceased have been identified as 23-year-old Giselle Ougrah, affectionately known as “Precious,” and her 26-year-old boyfriend, Stephon Kandon.
The two had reportedly been in a relationship for approximately one year. Ougrah was well-known in the area, working as a hairdresser at a popular barbershop located on Market Street in Princes Town.
According to family members, Ougrah was last seen on Wednesday, when she left home to visit Kandon at his apartment along Sundarsingh Trace.
Growing concerned after several phone calls to her went unanswered over the following days, Ougrah’s brother-in-law visited the property on Friday, leading to the discovery.
Investigators saiid that Ougrah suffered multiple stab wounds. Kandon was found hanging, leading authorities to suspect he took his own life after the fatal attack on his girlfriend.
